Prepare three things
You need a coding agent that supports skills, video or image assets you have permission to use, and a clear goal for the film. Include the audience, duration, aspect ratio and the one main point you want to communicate.
To learn composition first, use existing footage. Connect model services when you need new characters, voiceovers or video. Installing Hypit does not automatically provide those accounts or credits.
- Create a separate project folder and retain the original assets.
- Give image, video and audio files recognizable names.
- Record what may change and which brand facts must remain accurate.
Install the Hypit skill
Run the upstream installation command below in a terminal. It installs production knowledge and workflows. On first use, the agent checks the executable tools and helps prepare anything missing. Review the installation source and proposed actions.
npx skills add hypit-ai/hypit -g
Give your agent a clear brief
Start a conversation inside the video project and provide asset paths and expectations. Instead of asking for something “more polished,” specify the rhythm to keep, the content to replace and where the finished video will be used.
/hypit Use ./reference.mp4 as a reference for a 15-second vertical product introduction. Product images are in ./assets/. First propose the script, storyboard, asset reuse plan and cost estimate. Wait for approval before paid generation.
Confirm services and costs before execution
A production may involve image generation, video generation, voiceover, transcription and rendering. Ask the agent to identify the services actually needed, the accounts it will use, reusable assets and any uncertain costs.
HypiHub is the upstream project’s recommended hosted service. You can also connect your own services following its Provider documentation. Do not paste API keys into public documents or commit them to Git. Finish a small sample before expanding generation.
Watch the finished file before calling it done
Check the opening frame, captions, important transitions, character and product details, and ending. Play it both with and without sound to make sure the main point remains clear.
Retain the Source, Run and Build Result. Give specific feedback such as “the caption covers the product at six seconds.” A time, object and problem are easier to act on than “make it better.”
- The aspect ratio and exported duration match the destination.
- Speech is clear and music does not drown it out.
- Captions are accurate and remain clear of platform controls.
- Product claims have a factual basis and asset permissions are confirmed.
